Let me do it |
Our self-select fund range offers greater choice to those of you who wish to manage your investments yourself and/or feel the SEI Master Trust Flexi Default Investment Option (DIO) and our alternative investment strategies don’t quite fit your needs.
The fund range includes:
- Risk-rated, multi-asset funds: Ideal for those after a specific risk profile for their investments, without the need to take on asset allocation decisions.
- Individual asset class funds: Great for those who want to build and maintain their own pension portfolio.
- Regional equity funds: For members who want to target specific countries or regional allocations
- Socially Responsible Investing and Faith based funds: For members who have particular climate/social investment goals, or those who want to invest in funds that adhere to Islamic investment guidelines.
Risk-Rated, Multi-Asset Funds
The self-select range includes five SEI multi-asset funds, designed to suit different financial goals and levels of risk. These funds spread your money across a variety of investments, including:
- Equities – shares in companies
- Fixed Income – loans to governments and companies
- Inflation Sensitive assets – investments, such as inflation-linked bonds issued by governments or commodities, that tend to rise in value when inflation or expectations around future inflation rise.
- Absolute Return strategies – designed to perform irrespective of market trends, aiming to generate positive returns, no matter whether the overall market is going up or down.
- Liquidity – cash or cash-like investments
These funds offer a fully active investment approach. That means experts manage how your money is spread across different types of investments, aiming for strong performance and broad diversification. SEI combines its own expertise with some of the world’s top investment managers to deliver this.
| Fund | Typical Equity Allocation | Objective |

They may be more suitable for members who are closer to retirement, have shorter-term savings goals, or prefer a more cautious approach to investing. These funds aim to reduce the impact of market fluctuations (ups and downs) while still aiming for steady growth. |
| SEI Moderate | 34% | |
| SEI Core | 50% | The Core, Growth, and Aggressive funds are focused on long-term growth. They may suit members who are looking to build up their pension savings over time and are comfortable taking on more risk than with the stability-focused options. These funds aim to grow your savings in line with the wider stock and bond markets. |
